Dog And Butterfly
I really like pets. I have a dog named "Max," who's my buddy. I found this poem while surfing
the net and would like to share it with you.
And God Created The Dog...
On the first day of creation, God created the dog.
On the second day of creation, God created man to serve the
dog.
On the third day, God created all the animals of the earth,
(especially the horse), to serve as potential food for the dog.
On the fourth day, God created honest toil, so that man could labor for the good of the dog.
On the fifth day, God created the tennis ball, so that the dog might or might not retrieve it.
On the sixth day, God created veterinary science, to keep the dog healthy and the man broke.
On the seventh day, God tried to rest......,
but He had to walk the dog.

When God had made the earth and sky, the flowers and the trees, He then made all the animals, the fish, the birds, and bees.

And when at last He'd finished, not one was quite the same.
|
|
He said, "I'll walk this world of mine and give each one a name."
|
|
And so He traveled far and wide, and everywhere He went, a little creature followed Him until its strength was spent.
|
|
When all were named upon the earth, and in the sky and sea, the little creature said, "Dear Lord, there's no name left for me".
|
|
Kindly the Father said to him, "I've left you to the end.
|
|
I've turned my own name back to front, and called you DOG, my friend".

Max, my wired-hair fox terrier, will be five on March 3, 2005! He loves to play tug
and fetch, and is a great companion. I am planning on getting a sister for Max this spring.
